Gail Kriegel

Gail's musical, SWEETEE, for which she wrote book, music and lyrics began its development as her Artist-in-Residence Project at the Tribeca Performing Arts Centre, NY and was produced in 2017 at Signature Theatre in New York receiving two Audelco awards. With six other award-winning playwrights, Gail collaborated on SEVEN, a docudrama, which has been produced all over the world and translated into 35 languages. ON THE HOME FRONT won a Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship, Ruby Lloyd Apsey Award, and the prestigious One World Arts Grant. First produced at Empire State Institute of Performing Arts and most recently seen at the National Black Theatre Festival. A member of BMI, League of Professional Theatre Women and Dramatists Guild, Gail was Visiting Artist at the American Academy in Rome. Her work is published by Dramatists Play Service and included in the Archives at Lincoln Center. She received her MFA in playwriting from Brooklyn College.
